Tim French

Tim is the President of Micro Air, Inc. In addition to overseeing all corporate activities, he has directly managed hundreds of indoor air quality projects throughout the United States, including residential and commercial office buildings, hotels, health care facilities, educational institutions, and manufacturing and industrial properties. He has also worked on asbestos projects as a supervisor, inspector, and designer in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.

Betsie McAfee

Betsie is Micro Air, Inc.’s Laboratory Manager. In addition to overseeing the asbestos and microbiology labs, she is the Technical Manager for both laboratories. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health and Environmental Science from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and is trained to analyze every type of microbial and asbestos sample that comes through our laboratory. Betsie is also a Certified Radon Measurement Provider by the State of Indiana and by the AARST National Radon Proficiency Program and has an NRPP Advanced Certificate for Multi-Family Measurement.

tony bolanos, mpa, chmm

Tony is the Asbestos and Lead Division Manager at Micro Air and is responsible for coordinating all asbestos and lead-based paint inspections and Phase 1 environmental site assessments. He is also the primary hazardous waste contact for Micro Air, Inc. He is currently certified as a Senior Level, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager by the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management. Tony has over 25 years of practical experience in the environmental consulting field.

james detwiler

James is a certified industrial hygienist and professional engineer at Micro Air, Inc. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from LeHigh University. He has conducted hundreds of indoor air quality investigations for insurance companies, attorneys and building owners often regarding alleged building contamination from molds (fungi), bacteria (e.g., sewage spills, bird droppings), soot and fire damage residues, fuel oil spills, odor control chemicals, and others. He has prepared detailed hazards analyses and implemented the site Safety, Health and Emergency Response Plan at a $24 million Superfund remediation site where hundreds of drums of highly hazardous chemicals had to be excavated, as well as other environmental evaluations.

Tim is Micro Air, Inc.’s Senior Project Manager.  He has directed and managed over 1,000 indoor air quality investigations including mold assessments in facilities ranging from a few thousand square feet to over one million square feet. He holds a Certificate in Hazardous Materials Management from the Master’s Program at the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs.  He has previously been a State of Indiana accredited asbestos and lead inspector, in addition to being a State of Indiana accredited radon assessor.

April Nelson

April is an Industrial Hygienist at Micro Air. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth-Space Science from the University of Indianapolis. Her areas of expertise include: Indoor Air Quality Monitoring; Asbestos, Mold and Environmental Bacteria Air Sampling; Asbestos Inspections; Laboratory Sales; Construction Site Safety; Noise Dosimetry and Noise Mapping; Lockout/Tagout Surveys; Confined Space Surveys; OSHA Compliance; Industrial Safety Audits; Respirator Fit Testing; Soil Sampling; Groundwater Monitoring, and other environmental sampling disciplines.

Deanna is a Certified Radon Measurement Provider by the State of Indiana and by the AARST National Radon Proficiency Program and performs most of the field radon measurements for our laboratory. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Indiana University. She is also an AARST Advanced Radon Professional and has an NRPP Advanced Certificate for Multi-Family Measurement.
